Saturday night I was able to sneak into the rebel base and watch Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
And what a night it was.
Unfortunately, I had to do this mission solo.
So I left the home with all the hopes and dreams of the other 75% of the Rogue Rebels…
and a few loth cat whimpers….
I arrived in Hollywood with a bit of time to spare and decided to see who was around.
Chatted with by buddies for a bit then I went back to the rendezvous point and waited for pickup.
I ended up with a nice corner spot right next to The Star Wars Show stage which was lucky since I got to say hi to my buddy Andi before she got REAL busy!
Hung out with some great fellow fans and watched everyone go down the red carpet! So many fans were able to get smiles, selfies, autographs, and handshakes. It was a great time!
Before I knew it it was showtime! So towards the theater we went….
PAST A SCREEN USED X-WING!!!!
And just like that…
I watched a new Star Wars movie. One unlike any I’ve seen before.I’ve posted a few thoughts and impressions over at MakingStarWars.net but I’ll use one word that definitely comes to mind with this movie:
What an experience.
My fellow Saber Guild members and I hit the after party and lots of fun ensued! So many familiar faces and friends! I love catching up with cool people who I don’t see often enough!
I kinda had a blast with Mart Mattin pretty much the entire time!!
Just like that, it was over!
Another triumphant addition to the Star Wars canon and such a wonderful experience that I’m truly thankful for.
Thanks to Lucasfilm for such an amazing experience that a lifelong fan like me was able to enjoy!
I can’t wait for the rest of the world to enjoy this movie!
