Mastering the Art of Kanan Cooking: Jambalaya

My dad has been DYING to have some Jambalaya. Ever since we made him watch The Princess and the Frog (which really inspired me to cook. Tiana is my savior!)

Before Freddie of course!

So we went to a small place that served a lot of seafood and Jambalaya. My dad ordered it and we left unhappy.

Editor’s Note: Disappointing to say the least. Boring, semi spicy, semi tasteless, and I left knowing that that WASN’T jambalaya. – Sal P.

It was NOTHING compared to Freddie Prinze Jr.’s Jambalaya.

Anyway, like the fight night nachos we ended up eating the whole thing (just me and my dad, it serves four I think.) and forgot to take a picture!!

So I made it again!

…. and put a little less tobasco sauce. And it was heaven. So this was a complete success! Minus the burnt parts on the bottom of the pan.

oops.

For the photo I wanted to put  Hondo next to the bowl for some reason (I imagine he would love a good jambalaya) but I didn’t have a toy so that makes me a bit sad (Get on that Funko or maybe a Galactic Hero?)

It’s amazing!!

Thanks for reading (I keep meaning to say thanks for listening but no, I’m not a youtuber. That’s Axel’s job.) and have an awesome day!

P.S. You can get Freddie’s book here and cook up some of these AMAZING recipes yourself!

P.P.S. The idea behind this came from a film called Julie & Julia which you can check out here!
