Hansifred Quay
All aboard the Starfarer! A starcruiser offering its guests visits to many historical planets throughout the galaxy. Ardent Quay has grown up on this ship her whole life and knows that one day she’ll probably be the captain like her father before her. While on a trip to Coruscant, a chance encounter and a close call introduces her to the mysterious Sian. A lucem with a galaxy in his eyes that Ardent is drawn to. Ardent is pretty sure he’s either everything she’s been looking for or trouble that could spell disaster for everything she knows.

She loves romantic serial holos, spending time with the crew of her father’s starcruiser, and dreams of exploring on her own one day. But her world is turned upside down when she meets Sian. A mysterious Lucem with eyes… like stars… He’s clearly on the run, a bit too cocky for his own good, and way too charming for hers.
The Starfarer
The Starfarer is a galactic starcruiser offering historical tours across the galaxy. While they aren’t the fancy shmancy experience of their competition, Chandrila Starlines, Captain Quay takes pride in the importance of their tours teaching their guests history up close and personal.
Across the Stars
Destinations include places like Naboo, Tatooine, Hoth, Dantooine, and even the Graveyard of Alderaan. Places where history has happened. Battles, trade disputes, and former homes of historical figures. The Starfarer tours them all. And while the captain has a clear understanding of the past, current events in the galaxy may be writing history at this very moment. I loved being able to revisit these places. It’s interesting to see them through the in-universe eyes of people who know the same stories I’ve enjoyed over the years. There’s something very meta there.
Bits and Pieces
Eyes Like Stars is a whirlwind, adventurous, romantic romp complete with danger and intrigue! Ashley Poston writes endearing characters who leap off the page with vibrance, eagerness, and earnestness. Both Ardent and Sian are such fun to follow; you can’t help but connect with them along their adventures. The story hyperspace jumps through familiar planets that many Star Wars fans will recognize and enjoy seeing again through new eyes. And while there are plenty of familiar faces and places in these pages, it’s really the new characters and story that shine. The book is overflowing with a youthful energy that feels so authentic. Like a vacation romance but set amidst the hyperspace lanes of the Star Wars galaxy. Ashley Poston blew away my expectations and delivered a story that I fully enjoyed every step of the way
