The High Republic Adventures: The Nameless Terror Favorite Moments!

Monster Hunter Ty Yorrick recounts an old tale of a Pathfinder team crash landing on an uncharted planet. Stranded and isolated, the team has to find a way to reach out for help. But something monstrous and terrible is on the planet with them…

Communication breakdown! Enemies on all sides! And a Nameless terror threatening them all!

Here are my favorite moments!

SPOILERS AHEAD!

Tales of the Jedi

I dig the story’s framing as told by good old monster hunter Ty Yorrick! Looks like Yoda ain’t the only one who might have helpful lessons from the past! (Please see Midnight Horizon or Shadows of Starlight for more on this.)

A Crash of Fate

A mysterious ship collides with a Pathfinder cruiser and both ships crash land on the planet below. An ominous beginning to something much worse.

Padawan Lost

Rok Buran, introduced in Quest for the Hidden City, still deals with the loss of a padawan. I enjoy seeing familiar characters weave their way throughout The High Republic storytelling.

Children of the Path

These Path of the Open Hand-ers are NOT pleased to be stuck on a planet with Jedi. I also like their newer darker robes. Readers of The High Republic: Path of Vengeance might recognize a few of these characters!

Shoryuken

These Path members are done pretending that they only seek balance. They are ready to strike out at any and all enemies.

Especially the Jedi.

The open hand has closed.

“It Would be Fun” They Said…

Poor Pathfinder Pako is having second thoughts about his career choices.

Hatching Trouble

As the team does their best to hold off the threat outside, the Jedi are unaware of the increasing threat inside…

Shadows and Dust

Sula stands her ground against the creature terrorizing the survivors. If you’ve been keeping up with The High Republic you know the danger she faces.

For Light and Life

George Mann wallops us with a thrilling tale of Jedi fighting to survive against their worst fear. The art by Eduardo Mello is well done with some beautiful splash pages and great Jedi poses!

… I am a sucker for Jedi poses…

The story connects across both (current) eras of The High Republic and seems to leave quite a few threads to ponder for those following other stories while still telling a terrifying tale on its own. All in all a great quick read for anyone looking for an exciting, spooky, comic!

This comic is a must-read for anyone looking for a thrilling High Republic survival story!
