Okay, so Doctor Aphra and Vulaada are trying to make their way in a ruthless galaxy but unfortunately the Rebel Alliance and the Empire are both after Aphra so it seems our rogue archaeologist won’t be catching a break anytime soon. Oh, also childhood memories and run ins with the ex are sure to keep Aphra on her toes.
So as usual… chaos and shenanigans ensue.
SPOILERS AHEAD!

Li’l Boop
We finally meet Aphra’s mom. Lona Aphra. And we get a peek into what happened to Aphra’s parents. Like most Star Wars characters there is a tragic beginning to our precious Little Boop.

Misericorde
When the Rebel extraction team shows up it just so happens to be led by Captain Snuggles herself Magna Tolvan. It’s pretty rad to see Tolvan on the Rebel side though.
Every time they meet it’s that much more awkward…

Farkiller
Lightsaber cannon technology got Oo’ob in trouble with the Jedi. But he did succeed in creating the Farkiller. Which is pretty metal. Wonder if anyone could utilize this weaponized kyber technology. Because that would be bad.

Rebel WMD
Hold up.
The REBELS wanna weaponize the Farkiller? Did NOT see that one coming.

The PR Plan
Well to be fair the Empire wants the Farkiller too. Voor, their top PR person, is eager to make sure that the weapon is the key to taking out Palpatine once and for all…
What a twist!

Hunted
Looks like bounty hunters are after Doctor Aphra again.
Hold up, is that a commando droid head on a super battle droid body wearing a cape?
Oh look! a Corellian hound!

The Big Lie
Voor talks a bit about the art of misinformation. Too real.

Safety
So is the safest place to be is away from the hustle of the galaxy?
Or is being isolated just placing yourself away from help when trouble does come calling?
SPOILERS OVER!

The Worst
Spurrier’s story here is scheme upon scheme upon scheme but there are some really interesting questions raised. We get to learn a LOT about Aphra and her issues with trust, survival, and love. The run changes artists a few time so every issue seems kinda fresh. Aphra and her ideals coming up against both the Alliance and the Empire is very interesting.
This is a must-read for anyone interested in Doctor Aphra origins and questionable morals!
