Straight out of The Last Jedi, DJ and his misadventures get a Marvel one-shot! Although he doesn’t have a lot of screen time, DJ was definitely one of my favorite characters who piqued my curiosity.
Ben Acker and Ben Blacker’s story keeps you guessing. Kev Walker’s art is fun and expressive which is perfect for the story!

DJ himself has the same devil may care attitude we know from his interactions with Finn and Rose. I love his dialogue and getting his narration throughout.

Even the cops on Canto Bight need some help every now and again…
That Escalated Quickly
We get a lot more of an understanding of how Canto Bight operates. The casino owners all sort of have their own syndicates and turf and thugs and the cops are basically stuck in the middle but everyone defers to profits.
Capitalism is crazy.
Ouch
This super buff rodian brings the pain.
Now This is Podracing?
There’s a speeder chase where the driver is a podracer.

This is a quick peek at DJ and his days and nights full of misadventures. It’s a one-shot so the story is short and self contained. I always enjoyed the character and hope we see him again in the future!
