Since the reorganization of the Star Wars canon, the Aftermath series would technically be our first novel trilogy. Aftermath: Life Debt, the second part in the trilogy, takes characters and ideas introduced in Star Wars: Aftermath and builds on them like any good sequel. Lots of the story threads from Aftermath are picked up here (which in any sequel is to be… Continue reading Star Wars Aftermath: Life Debt
Claudia Gray‘s newest Star Wars book is finally here and boy, is it a big one. This book centers around Leia Organa six years prior to The Force Awakens. Although it precedes Episode VII, it still shines a light on many of the mysteries we fans theorize about and shows how the political climate of the New Republic… Continue reading Star Wars Bloodline Review!
In case you haven’t heard the latest in our little collection of Journey to The Force Awakens stories is The Perfect Weapon by Delilah Dawson. It stars the lovely bounty hunter Bazine Netal as we follow her adventures on a mysterious new mission. A Leia adventure involving a small group mission with a cool cast of characters that I enjoyed quite a bit. I really like the theme of duty and how Leia must balance her responsibilities with… Continue reading Star Wars: Moving Target Review!
Well, Force Friday hit me pretty hard… So much so I’ve fallen behind in trying to review the overwhelming amount of new novels, comics, games, and stuff in a timely manner. So instead of jumping on the Aftermath (…aftermath…) review train this late in the game, I think I’ll just share some thoughts and impressions instead. And for all… Continue reading Star Wars Aftermath Review!
Leading up to a much anticipated December 18th, Lucasfilm has promised us glimpses into the galaxy as we Journey to The Force Awakens. In addition to the epic Aftermath novel, there are also junior novels being released in that unknown-post-Return of the Jedi-era that people like me are dying to read! Smuggler’s Run is a Han Solo and Chewbacca story that… Continue reading Star Wars: Smuggler’s Run Review
The second book in my personal Journey to The Force Awakens is The Weapon of a Jedi. Luke Skywalker takes a detour to Devaron and searches for knowledge that will help him along the Jedi path. A cool new enemy and some Imperial entanglements combined with some familiar droids make for a fun little adventure. SPOILERS This… Continue reading Star Wars: The Weapon of a Jedi Review!
Hi. My name is Sal and I am biased. I have a suspicion that this book may have been written for me. I’ve been a strong supporter and costumer of Quinlan Vos for years and he remains one of my favorite characters to this day. It’s no secret I’ve been looking forward to this book… Continue reading Star Wars: Dark Disciple Review!
