Star Wars Hunters: Battle for the Arena Review!

“You are a formidable fighter! May the Forces be around you!”

J-3DI

When Rieve heads to Vespaara to become a Hunter in the arena, she will have to learn more than just fighting. A great Hunter must be cunning, analytical, and work effectively with their team. Rieve has always been a loner, but in the arena, she just might learn what it means to be a part of a team.

Battles! Bacta! Brawling! And grudges!

SLIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD!

Chaos is my Life

Rieve is the new kid. She has some Force abilities but no training. She comes from a rough upbringing where she only had herself to depend on. Always on the run, Rieve has been a courier, an orphan, and even a singer for a Gonkrock band! (Which is a Star Wars version of punk rock where the musicians plug their instruments into power droids…) She joins the arena because she is good at fighting, but she soon learns that on the battlefield, everyone works as a team. And Rieve isn’t big on teamwork. So the question is, what is she gonna do about it?

We Are One

Everyone in the arena has their own story. Every hunter, trainer, even the higher-ups. And each story is unique. You’ve got Daq Dragus, the manager of Balada’s arena who sees something in Rieve and gives her a chance to join. You’ve got Zaina, a former rebel veteran. There’s Grozz, a professional huttball player. Imara Vex, a bounty hunter finds a new way to put her skills to use. Sentinel is a former imperial stormtrooper who still wears the armor in the arena. Different walks of life, different ideals, and different personalities finding their place in the arena.

Land of Competition

The arena is a team sport. 4 on 4. Each Hunter has their own specialties and fighting style. If you’ve played the game you’ve seen them. A rebel, a Jedi droid, a bounty hunter, a soldier, even a Mandalorian! But your teamwork is integral to victory. Rieve has always depended on herself. Can she learn to depend on others?

It Will be Ours! Forever!

Star Wars Hunters: Battle for the Arena is a story chock full of Star Wars action, drama, humor, and themes. Each character has their own quirks and unique personality that makes for unforgettable character dynamics. Combine with the found family themes and true gonk rock attitude and this book delivers.

This is a must-read for anyone searching for a story of being lost and alone and finding acceptance for who you are.
