The High Republic: Fear of the Jedi Comic Miniseries Review!

Keeve Trennis leads her fleet to the final showdown at Eriadu! Not only will the Jedi face down the entire Nihil fleet, but their greatest fears!

Multiplicity! Scav droids! The Fear Engine! Children of the Storm! And horror beyond imagination!

Cavan Scott brings Keeve, Sskeer, Lourna, Tey, Rhil, Orbalin, and Cibaba to the final battle at Eriadu. The character moments are plentiful and spread evenly across everyone. I was impressed by the Children of the Storm and how interesting their place in the conflict was told. The chemistry between the characters and the unfolding story both hit their mark.

Marika Cresta‘s art is just as gorgeous as ever. Her expressions and actions fit the writing and match the tone. There are great moments in the series that the art and writing emphasize wonderfully.

The final act of Keeve’s story builds on everything before and delivers a solid, satisfying finale. Each character has great storytelling moments through the action. There’s tension, starfighting, and terror. The Children of the Storm storytelling is surprisingly unpredictable in bringing a new and terrifying threat against the Jedi who have fought through so much. Keeve has become every bit a leader as her title of Marshall implies.

This comic is a must-read for fans of Keeve and her fight for light and life!
