Return of the Echo Stones! Secrets of the puzzle moon! Searching for Planet X! And the Rod of Ages!
The High Republic Adventures: Echoes of Fear follows Reath Silas, Amadeo Azzazzo, and Cohmac Vitus as they delve deep into the forgotten histories in search of answers. As the Nameless and the blight threaten the entire galaxy, our heroes tirelessly seek a path to victory before time runs out.
George Mann‘s writing is brilliantly mythic as the characters rediscover stories and legends of the past. The art is gorgeous, vibrant, and beautiful. The last issue has some truly stunning splash pages.

As far as storytelling goes, I’m certain many of these discoveries will tie into the finale of this last phase of The High Republic, and I am dying to see just how! The characters are fantastically written. Reath Silas, in particular, has grown into a personal favorite. We met Silas as a bookish Padawan who lost his master. Then, a naive adventurer confronted with deception. Now, he’s a Jedi whose knowledge and research have become integral to the Jedi solving the mysteries surrounding their greatest threats. Amadeo and Cohmac both round out the main cast and bring with them great wit, banter, and chemistry.

As they all dive into the past, the ancient legends are brought to life with gorgeous illustrations. While it might sound like a strong research story, the histories are filled with thrilling action, Jedi mystery, and dark side relics! All in all, the miniseries is a fantastic read that seems like it sets the stage for the culmination of The High Republic storytelling to come!
This mini-series is a must-read for an illuminating look at our heroes discovering the origins of the enemies who threaten their very existence.
